I am running Windows XP Pro. I am attempting to log on to a system using Remote Desktop. There are two users with administrative privileges, which I will call AdminUser1 and AdminUser2 for the purposes of describing this issue. AdminUser1
is the built-in administrator account, but renamed. The system is configured to automatically logon as AdminUser2 (the system runs a kiosk app). Both accounts have complex passwords. Here is how to reproduce the problem:
The system boots.
All attempts to log on as AdminUser1 via Remote Desktop produce the error: "Unable to log you on because of an account restriction".
I log on as AdminUser2 via Remote Desktop successfully.
Any further attempts to log on as AdminUser1 are successful until the system reboots.
In summary you can log on as AdminUser1 via Remote Desktop only after you have logged on as AdminUser2 at least once.
