Windows not genuine build 7600

    Question

  • There is a message on the lower right corner of screen reading windows in not genuine build 7600. Every now and then computer will slow down and message about possible counterfeit software will pop up, but windows is genuine.

Also, I use MIcrosoft Forefront EndPoint Protection. I ran a complete scan and no threats. I clicked on the history tab and under allowed items (to run on my computer) and the following are listed:

    RemoteAccess:Win32/TightVNC

    RemoteAccess:Win32/UltraVNC

    HackTool:Win32/fgdump

    HackTool:Win64/fgdump

    RemoteAccess:Win32/RealVNC

    Program:Win32/powerRegScheduler

What do these mean? I do not remember allowing these item s to run and I am not able to remove the allowed programs from Forefront.

Answers

  • Hi,

I suggest you try to active the system by phone to test the issue:

    1. When you reach the desktop click Start, then in the Search box type:  slui.exe 4
    2. Press Enter on your Keyboard
    3. Select your Country.
    4. Select the Phone Activation option, then call the number given and hold for a real person.

    Hope this helps
