Cannot Connect to the Internet in Windows XP

    Question

  • I accedently deleted a program on another computer (and forgot what the name was), and now it cannot connect to the internet.  When I open IE i get the message, "Internet Explorer cannot connect to webpage".  I then tried in Google Chrome, and got Error 105, DSN Lookup failed.  Can anyone help?

  • Based on the errors you post, I would guess you do not have a connection to the internet.

    You need to check your network connection or dial-up settings to see if you are connecting to the internet.

    Not knowing what you deleted makes it extremely difficult to tell you how to go about fixing the problem.

    Details are needed to make assessments of any problem.

  • Try to restore your system to an earlier time and then, clear all your browing history and cache... also restore settings to defaults...
