How to disable "This website wants to run the following add-on: ‘Java SE Runtime Environment 7 Update 45" warning for all IE users on a computer

    Question

  • I'm trying to find a solution that can be applied through group policy that would hide this warning and allow the Java plugin to run for all users. Even when IE is set to enable the Java plugin, we still have users that get this message at the bottom of their browser window. If they don't click "Allow" soon enough, the software that we run as a Java applet in it's own window is closed by IE and the user must enter their credentials again.

  • Hi,

What's the version of your system operating?

Please try to uninstall Java, restart your PC, reinstall and enable it.

In addition, this is a security feature if IE and is not tied to whether or not you have a sight “allowed” to use an add-on.  It behaves in this manor to help protect you against malware.  You can lower or customize your security settings by clicking on the “Tools” button on the Menu bar and clicking Internet Options.  Click on the “Security” tab and adjust the security level.
