after installing SP1 and SP2 does not show up on Computer properties

    Question

  • It does show under Window Update as installed and now I need it seems to reinstall 103 other updates. Is it running the installed SP1 and SP2? Should i now reinstall these updates dating back to 2007?

  • run Winver.exe and look at the Build number.

    6000 = Vista RTM

    6001 = Vista Sp1

    6002 = Vista Sp2

    SP1 is a collection of previous updates, it is suggested to install SP1 and SP2 first and then run Windows update to check the remaining updates.
