  • Please refer to this thread: http://windowslivehelp.com/thread.aspx?postid=B0E4A765-FEF2-4EB2-933D-605B8851F18B#B0E4A765-FEF2-4EB2-933D-605B8851F18B

    Since it's an Windows Live issue, I suggest you ask in Windows Live Solution Center, it's more professional.

  • WINDOWS UPDATE and WINDOWS LIVE MAIL not work after changing (cloning) HDD on your computer ;
    SOLUTION is :
    ** Try to re-install "Intel Rapid Storage Manager" or "Intel Matrix Storage Manager" on your system ;
    1- Uninstal RSM (Rapid Storage Manager) or MSM (Matrix Storage Manager) .
    2- After uninstall , you will see ,Windows Update and Windows Live Mail will work .
    3- You can re-install RSM or MSM again (I recommended RSM)
    Have a nice day.

  • Hi HBAYKAL,

    this worked also for me! Thank you very much for this helpful hint.

    It saved a lot of time for me.

    I have a Desktop-PC with Win7 (x64) and had disk reading

    failures. After cloning the disk to a new one I got this strange

    error messages from Windows Live Mail. Also the Windows update

    was not working. Then I un-installed the Intel RSM (Version 9.5.0.1037),

    booted the PC and all problems are gone!

  • I had the same problem after cloning my HHD: Mail Live, and Windows Update would not work.

    Intel Rapid Storage Manager showed up in Control Panel Programs and Features as version 0.000.000.00 or something like that. Deleted it and installed the latest version of RSM. Everything is now working great!
