    Question

  • Hello,

So I had a virus on my computer and I went into safe mode and installed a copy of AVG 2012. I did a full scan and it deleted something in \windows\ saying that it was a virus. So I googled the problem and people said the solution was to create a AVG Recovery CD and delete/rename the avg drivers in \system32\drivers and delete/rename the avg folder in \Program Files\AVG\.

I did both using the AVG Recovery CD and I still keep getting the same error. Any ideas? and a clean install isn't an option.

  • We cannot ensure that the AVG 2012 is fully comaptible with Windows 7. You may contact the AVG technical support and confirm whether the detection from the antivirus is correct.

Otherwise, try MSE to kill viruses.
