Intel Corp - Display - Mobile Intel(R) Series Express Chipset Family

    Question

  • I have Win 7 64-Bit and have gone to Critical Updates several times in the past and saw optional update of for:

"Intel Corp - Display - Mobile Intel(R) Series Express Chipset Family"

    It would never install!

Today I saw another optional update for the "Chipset Family...etc."

Tried once download/install and after about 15 minutes got "Update Failed."

    Clicked on "Retry"

Same thing but screen flipped form normal to Safe Mode and then back to normal. Waited another 10 minutes and got same message "Update Failed."

Why does this install keep failing to install? It's is taking up a lot of my time waiting and waiting and then told "Update failed."

Is this happening to anyone else? How to solve, if possible?

    Error Details Code 800705B4

    Please advise

    Alice

  • In the Intel Download center, input your operating system: Windows 7 64-bit, and Download type: Driver.

This one maybe the one you needed: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7* 64.

  • Hi Alice,

    Thanks for the post!

It's a Intel chipset update, try to manually download the latest driver in Intel official website: Intel Download Center

How would I know what to choose?

The one that is showing in the Critical Updates / Optional Download is:

Intel Corp - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Intel Corp Display software update released in Feb 2011, Published 4/8/2011
