I have been running Vista in virtual box under Ubuntu 11.10. I now want to dual boot to get better performance for various games.
I resized my primary ext4 partition to free up 80GB on my main disk. I created a new primary partition in that space and formatted it as NTFS. So under gparted, my disks now look like this:
However, when I try to install windows vista (disk 0 partition 2) into this space, it says "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installing".
I also tried to delete, create, and format that same partition in the Windows installer.
This is Vista 32 bit OEM if that matters.
Are there other limitations to where Vista can be installed on the disk that I am missing?
