Scheduled Tasks phyiscal location

    Question

  • Where is the location where the actual scheduled tasks are located?

In XP, they were in c:\windows\tasks, but that doesn't appear to be used anymore.

I had a dying hard drive in my system, so I got a new HD, and installed a fresh copy of Windows.  I plugged in my old drive as an external and am wondering if I can browse the drive and locate the scheduled tasks somewhere.

  • The tasks are stored here:

    C:\Windows\System32\Tasks

You can import them with the Task scheduler MMC Snapin.
