Programs Missing in Control Panel Windows 7

    Question

  • <!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->

     I'm using a dell studio 15 laptop with i2 processor and win 7 OS.. One day (a week before) i found that most of my programs installed in my computer are not being dislayed in Control Panel( uninstall a program )..But these programs are working properly... Only 10 of the programs are shown there.. i did a system restore and still no use.. I did a registry cleaner with CCleaner before that problem( don't know that's the cause ).. I'm also not able to uninstall them using CCleaner and the uninstall.exe in C:\Program Files is also missing for some programs... I'm a beginner in computer.. Please help me...

    CCleaner was mostly the cause. CCleaner should have an option the restore the made changes.

    Simply never use such nonsense tools. Read what Mark Russinovich wrote about those useless tools:

  • i know its an old thread, but I am having the same problem with my Windows 7 PC. I used a registry cleaner of GlaryUtilities (and I regret I used it!). I didn't do any backup and now there are lots of programs misssing in the programs and features list. I see only 4 programs which I installed lately but the remaing 25-30 programs are missing. There's no system restore point available. I am pretty sure its the registry problem. MY registry cleaner has deleted the unistallers of many programs. Is there a solution to this?? Please help cause I need to clear much of the mess from my PC.
