windows start up problem

    Question

  • Ive got a toshiba laptop. with windows 7

i try to start it up, and itfails, i then restart it, and go via the startup repair, but this also fails. then i launch it with safe mode and load system repair, and it works eventually. this is fairly annoying. how can i fix my machine without having to go through this process every time. is it a problem with my hard drive, or with windows itself. ive run numerous scans of the system itself, each time coming up with no problems. the laptop works fine, if not a bit slow, but its just a pain not being able to shut it down without having to go through a whole process each time. when i select start windows normally, it loads until just before selecting a user, and goes black.

    can anyone help?

    cheers in advance
