Problem Burning a CD on my Toshiba Satellite M55-S325 Notebook

    Question

  • Before today I could burn CDs without a problem from either itunes or windows media player. I tried to burn a CD today & accidentally ejected the CD in the middle of the burn. I took that CD out and put in a new blank CD to reburn. But it would not complete. It gets to the last song and ejects the disk with a message that the CD failed to burn do to an error. I tried multiple times in both itunes and using windows media player to burn a complete CD. No luck. The weird part is that the CD will play the portion of the tracklist that actually burned. I think it always stops around the 12 or 13th track. If anybody has a solution please let me know. Also I tried to restore my system to an earlier date but no luck there either.

  • Hi,

    I would like to know if the issue will happen when burning any files.

    Clear files in the temp folder

    =========

    1. Log on Safe mode

    2. Go to C:\Windows\Temp folder.

    3. Clear all files in this folder.

    Please also clear folder %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Burn, to open it, click the Start Button and type the location in the Start Search box and press Enter.

    You can also try Clean Boot mode.
