Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 and Windows 7

    Question

  • Hi

    Computer: Acer m3910 Desktop

OS: Windows 7 (64 bit) Service Pack 1

Graphics Card : Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 (PCI connection)

I know that Nvidia says the NVS 280 is not compatible with Windows 7, but reading in other threads on this forum some people have achieved it.

    See link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/285a3197-b4f1-4b48-ac09-d999eace4ece

Some said that the Vista Drivers will work, but not for me. One user (MikeD68) stated that he "downloaded the driver and modified INF file" Anybody know how one could modify the INF File?

I tried the Vista drivers, both 32 and 64 bit. It seemed to work but when I restarted after I installed the drivers I got a RunDLL error. The actual error was "There was a problem starting C:\Windows\system32\NvCpll.dll" "C:\Windows\system32\NvCpll.dll is not a valid Win32 application"

Does anyboy have any ideas? Any help would be kindly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Trevor.
