Can't install software for HP Officejet J6480 all in one.

    Question

  • Just got new laptop w win 7 and can't install software for printer. Software mut only go thru Vista. printer is only a little over a yr.

    window pops up-basically says window 7 doesn't recognize software. says current OS 601.64 

    tried to findsolution in on HP site but nothing substantial??

    Not too bright at this up\grding stuff so will need some real step by step directions!!!

  • When you need drivers for a product, go to the support website of the manufacturer and do a search.  Microsoft does not write any drivers for third party hardware.

    HP has Windows 7 drivers, 32-bit and 64-bit @ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3635378&  All you have to do is select the OS and you are taken to the link for the download of Drivers, Updates, and Utilities.  What more do you want than that?  All I did was Google for HP Officejet J6480 and the first link lead to the driver page!
