Windows 7 Windows Script Host error

    Question

  • H

I've just purchased a Dell 1564 and I'm trying to install Serif's WebPLusx4 software on it. I keep getting VBScript errors from Windows Script Host.  I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

The software itself is working correctly - I've got it working on another Dell laptop (Windows 7 64-bit) and old desktop.

The Serif Tech Support team have recreated the problem on one of their computers by disabling WSH. However they have only got Windows XP and can't find information on how to disable/re-enable WSH on Windows 7. I have looked on the internet for solutions alods but I can't find anything.

Does anyone kow how I can re-enable WSH or update it if that's what's required? Or even check that the settings are incorrect as the Serif Tech Support team have suggested?

    Thanks

  • Hi Gary,

    Thanks for the post!

What error message you got from the Windows Script Host? Here is the list about the error messages http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/6kbz7235(VS.85).aspx

Meanwhile, for how to disable the Windows Script Host, you can refer to this Microsoft official article for the details: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee198684.aspx. Please remember to backup when you want to make the change.
