Regarding winsxs folder in windows 7 32 bit Operating System..

  • HEy Guys,

    Is there any way to reduce the size of winsxs folder in Windows 7? It is consuming a lot of space.


    Pls sumone help me regarding the same....

    Do not delete this folder, these are not copies, this is your OS.

    If you delete or modify the OS files in this folder, you will break servicing.

  • The WinSxS folder is used to store copies of files that were modified by Windows Updates or Service Packs.  You can delete the contents of the folder, but that will remove the option of rolling back to a previous state or uninstalling updates.
