  • Do you mean the Win7 "Wireless Hosted Network" feature? This still works in Windows 8:

Open a cmd prompt with admin rights and run this:

    netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid="Virtual WiFi" key="USE_A_GENERATED_KEY_TO_PROTECT_IT" keyUsage=persistent

(genereate a key first and enter it instead)

  • 1.Open CMD as a administrator and type  netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

2.Enable Micosoft Hosted network adapter from Device manager in Network adapters.

    3.Start Virtualrouter.
