  • Do you mean the Win7 "Wireless Hosted Network" feature? This still works in Windows 8:

Open a cmd prompt with admin rights and run this:

    netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid="Virtual WiFi" key="USE_A_GENERATED_KEY_TO_PROTECT_IT" keyUsage=persistent

(genereate a key first and enter it instead)

  • 1.Open CMD as a administrator and type  netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

2.Enable Micosoft Hosted network adapter from Device manager in Network adapters.

    3.Start Virtualrouter.

      Features

Simple design and easy to use user interface.
      Simple interface for user definitions
Real time monitoring of connected users.
RADIUS AAA support (Commercial editions only).
WISPr 2.0 authentication and partial RADIUS dictionary support.
      Customizable HTTP interface.
