Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter will not enable

    Question

  • I keep getting network errrors when connection to the internet.  I tried to update the driver and currently have this disabled.  Is it really necessary?

  • Hi,

Regarding the “Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter”, I would like to share the following with you:

    Wireless Hosted Network Sample

    Please note the section “WirelessHostedNetwork”.

Just as the document says, to make this feature work, “Hosted Network–capable wireless adapter” is needed.

So, we can see the Internet connection may be not related to this, to make the issue clear, please let us know the exact error message you received when connecting to Internet.

    Thanks.

  • Good Morning,
I am also having a problem with my virtual wifi miniport adapter.  My computer will automatically find a wireless internet network and I have no problem signing in to the wireless network but when I plug it into a modem at my house it recognizes the network but states no internet access.  Under device managers the miniport has a yellow triangle caution mark under it and when clicked it states that windows cannot load the drivers for this device and a code 31.  I hope you have a patch for this.
