    Question

  • get an error that it can't find a program to run the executable. Switch users and everything runs fine. ??? Delete the user and create a new one?

  • Msseces.exe is the Microsoft Security Essentials GUI.  You could try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

  • The problem could be related to a corrupted or missing file in that profile: it could be useful knowing which file is reported as missing.
    Did you check the Windows "Application" log in the Event viewer to see if there's any record related to this problem?

  • Yes tried that. When it finished downloading and tried to run it, it only gave me an option to run in Internet explorer. Basically saying it can't find a program to run the executable.
