How to remove NVidia Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 update

    Question

  • I recently had a problem installing Microsoft updates for Office 2007 which I have since corrected. During the process of correcting the Office 2007 updates I received the request for the NVDIA update.

    nVidia - Display - NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

    Download size: 110.5 MB

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

    Update type: Optional

nVidia Display software update released in April, 2010

I did the update, which updated sucessfully.  The Update request reappeared after I had corrected the problem with the Office 2007 update. I tried to do the update for NVDIA again but got an error this time. Basically I think the first update was OK and the second update was trying update what was alredy there.  How can I remove the update request without having to go to a restore point since I don't know when it was and everything is currently running fine.

  • Hi KanakaRoy

    try this :

    1. Open Add or Remove Programs.
    2. On the top left, select the view installed updates . All installed updates appear at list.
    3. Click the update you want to uninstall, and then click uninstall.

    i hope that will help.

  • What is listed for NVIDIA  in "Uninstall or change a program" (Add or Remove Programs)?

  • There is nothing there for NVIDIA now. The error code 80070103 occurs when I tried to update.  Under the installed updates it showed that it was updated when the request became available.

  • Decided to hide optional update for NVIDIA. As stated before I installed it when it first came out successfully. Why it is so hard to remove is frustrating.

    Thanks for trying.

  • I have been having the same exact problem installing:

    nVidia - Display - NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

    Download size: 110.5 MB

You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.

    Error code:  80070103

I have tried all of the above and even went to the nvidia driver page and downloaded the file and installed it without a problem.  But this update keeps showing up and throwing the same errors.

I would not like to hide it until I find out what is really wrong.
