help MINECRAFT bad video card driver

    Question

  •    Bad video card drivers!
          -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

  • Hi,

You could check which brand of graphic card you are using, and go to the corresponding official websites to download the latest driver.

Also, you could go to Device Management to update your graphic card driver via Windows Update:

Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

  • are you running this in a virtual machine under sun java? Most opengl requires direct access to the hardware, so vm's are not usually an option for gaming.

  • Hi,

Please update your graphic card driver to the latest version to see what the result is. At the meantime, to get a better performance, it is recommended to have all your hardware drivers updated.

Since this is related the third-party software, it is also recommended to contact the software manufacturer for further help:

IMO, we shouldn't be helping you solve your driver problems if you openly admit to pirating a paid software service.  I am POSITIVE the people who worked very hard to produce Minecraft certainly would not like to see your issue fixed.

I'd like to see a Moderator delete this thread.
