FOXIT~1 error

    Question

  • I'm trying to open up a PDF on Windows 7 Home Edition and I deleted a program, FOX Editor or something close to that, and since then every time I try to open a PDF I get a little window with FOXITR~1 and I can't do anything until I click OK in that window.  I have reloaded Adobe and looked everywhere I can think of to find where that error is coming from and I can't fix it.  Any guess's?

The program you’re looking for is Foxit Reader - from www.foxitsoftware.com
The Foxit software has appropriated the PDF extension – and Adobe hasn’t regained control.
Right-click on a PDF file, and select Open with...
Look in the popup box for the Adobe Reader, and make sure that the ‘Always use...’ is ticked, then click OK.
PDF files should not open properly in Adobe reader.
