How to change dropdown menu background color

    Question

  • I just don't like this Linux-like grey dropdown menu color and tried to change it through personalization to XP-like white without any luck. Is it even possible? It grey in Firefox "bookmarks"  dropdown menu, same in IE "Favorites/Add to favorites", so it's not application settings.

  • Hi,

If you do want to change the color of the dropdown menu, you can select Windows Classic theme which is appeared as Windows XP, and then configure the color by right clicking the desktop==>clicking Windows Color==>selecting 3D Objects in Item box==>selecting the color==>clicking OK.

    Then see how it works.

That mean I can chose Win95 view style (that's not XP style) or I can't change this in highly customizable win7 themes, right?
