  • Hi,

    I would like to know what exact error is received when installing the Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN.

    If the error occurs, you can collect Screenshot of the error and upload it to the http://skydrive.live.com/ using your Live ID and I will check it:

    Screenshot

    ========

    1. If the error message appears, press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard.

    2. Click the "Start" menu, type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter.

    3. In the Paint program, click the "Edit" menu, click "Paste", click the "File" menu, and click "Save".

    4. The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot".

    5. Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click Desktop on the left pane and then click "Save".

    Here is the detailed steps:

  • At a guess, the problem is because Windows Media Player isn't included in the European "N" version.

    It's available for download:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=31017ed3-166a-4c75-b90c-a6cef9b414c4&displayLang=en

    There may be other ways of getting the Windows Media components, but this is the most obvious one. (WMP can cheerfully co-exist with other players, so there's no strong reason to not install it.)

  • I don't know why.

    The download for Win7 X86 (32 bit) is approx. 270MB in size. Did you get it all?
