  • Hi,

TaskBar icons may have problems, you'd better rebuild icon cache.

Here is introduction of Windows 7 Taskbar.

    Hope that helps.

  • My Icons for a cople of files are missing - Outlook is one on the files. Yes, I am developer but that doesn't protect me fom MS errors. Those missing icons are showing as the default icon.

I would appreciate some help. I've deleted the icon database and that has not helped.

  • Can you try the steps suggested in this post (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistadesktopui/thread/e8631c28-4ce5-43cc-8865-b75fa2255b57):

    - download the lnkfix zip file from http://cid-4fc3e8fc77f77286.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/lnkfix.zip
    - unzip
    - import the reg key

This fixed the issue on several machines I've seen with this problem.

By the way is it me or is the original post blank?

    hope this helps,
    David
