    Hi

What type of file is this?

Not all file types can be pinned directly to the Taskbar.

    Let us know.

Thank You for using Windows 7

  • You can use a right-click on a desktop icon, select "pin to taskbar", done. If you drag an icon to the taskbar, a right-click on it should show two choices "close windows" and "unpin from taskbar". I'm not sure how one could enable/disable those options.

  • Some shortcuts to specific files cannot be pinned such as Control.exe, install.exe, rundll32.exe etc.

Also shortcuts with keywords like Documentation, Help, Install (etc.) cannot be pinned.

So what is the name of the shortcut and its target program?
