    Question

  • I have been trying to install SP1 Update on my Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit but i got an error ERROR_TIMEOUT (0x800705b4)

I installed the update through the normal process, but before that i have tried using System Update Readiness Tool from this link

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=44E15787-66B0-4E9C-9C3B-1FC9EA40F69F

it applied Hotfix for Windows (KB947821)

Here is the file on the SkyDrive i have collected from the CBS Folder

    Windows hangs during boot.

Make a Cleanboot and stop any 3rd party tools [1] and install the Sp1 there.

  • I tried using this tool on a 64bit AMD system in Raid 5. I looked at the CBS log after the update failed again and it stated that the TrustedInstaller was not set to automatic or the system required a reboot... so I rebooted...

I no longer have a valid boot device... The raid is healthy but the installation is fried.

Prior to this moment, every time I rebooted after using Windows update it amended file 9 index's. I ended up downloading and installing all of the updates except SP1 - which continually failed. I did not let it amend the indexes on the reboot prior to my drive completely crashing, but I loaded into windows fine.

...now I can not even load the recovery console from a CD or otherwise...

I have no idea what to do... I have the blue windows recovery console screen up and a mouse cursor.. and nothing else.

  • I finally got the system repaired and attempted a manual download. It's failed twice in a row so far...
