• When I'm trying to start my computer, everything start normal, but after the sign of Windows 7 a window appears and it says that they need to check the hard disk searching for any problem with the NFTS, but then everything get stuck, and I cannot move backwards or forwards.

Why is this happening, and what can I do to fix it?

  • The disk is flagged as corrupt and CHKDSK is running, be patient as on some systems it can take an hour to complete.

Let the disk check run, do not abort it on the next boot.

  • Hi,

I would like to suggest you run the following command in Command Prompt under System Recovery Options to check the hard disk for errors.

    Chkdsk /f /r

    What’s the result?
