ANOTHER This Device cannot start. (Code 10) SEAGATE HARD DRIVE.

    Question

  • I have a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk USB 3.0 3TB External Drive.  I've been running this HD for nearly 6 months without problem and suddenly it refuses to mount.  I went to Device Manager to check it out and it gave me the CODE 10 ERROR.  I've been working on this problem for the past couple days without any success.  I moved ALL files to the drive.  Even if it's only for a short while, I'd like to be able to get the drive working again if only to access my files.  I've already attempted to "uninstall" the drives and reinstall.  I've also "disabled" and "enabled" it again.  Any help would be very appreciated!  Thanks.
