  • Hi,

    1) Which version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

    2)    Have you made any recent changes to the computer?

    3)    Do you get this error message on start up?

You may try the following methods and check if it helps.

Note: The troubleshooting applies to Windows 7.

Method 1: Try System File Checker

Please follow the steps mentioned in the link, How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Check in Clean boot.

Follow the steps in the link below to set the computer to ‘Clean boot’ state.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When the troubleshooting is over, do not forget to reset the computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above-mentioned article.

Hope the information helps. Please post back and let us know.

LayoutDll120EM.dll not related to microsoft it's third party software.

Roxio should be available in the My Dell downloads.  If it's not there or you can't access it contact Dell Support.  Dell Support is the only one that can get things corrected under warranty on a new PC.

    Thanks for your understanding,
