A client sent his old Dell laptop to "a friend of a friend" to get the hard drive fixed. When he got it back, he'd been charged $75 for a "new" hard drive (from April of 2004) and a copy of "Xp - Windows 7 Viena [sic]" (according
to the Computer | Properties screen). The screen also noted a copyright for "Haiter - http://sharingcenter.info".
I took a photo if anyone wants to see it, and I suggested my client report the "friend of a friend" to Microsoft and the BSA.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
It's jerks like this who give a bad name to the rest of us who aren't trying to screw people.
