  • Hi

Wake Timers are a component that programmers can use to wake an idle system and peform a routine function, when the system is in sleep mode.

Prior to Windows 7, the user had no control over this.

Windows 7 gives the user the option to disable or enable the sleep timers.

  • Hello Eldramatico,

You can create a scheduled task, tell the scheduled task to wake the computer.

Open control panel and search for Task Scheduler,

    Create a new task,

Under Triggers you can specify a time to run the task

Under conditions you can check the box that tells the task to wake the machine.

  • Hi,

I have been searching for a way to play an alarm timer without being forced to disable the sleep mode every night, wasting lots of energy. I have windows 7 and Alarm Clock Pro doesn't work. The timer doesn't ring when the computer is in sleep mode. So I came with the idea to wake windows automatically before the timer would ring with another program; do you know any program or any way to wake windows on a predefined time so the timer could work even if the computer spends the night in sleep mode?

    Thanks for your answer

  • Thanks a lot for your answer, combined with the program I have found I think it'll work, it worked fine with the clock program I have tested it with so it should work with the other with a snooze

    Thanks
