Explorer behavior

    Question

  • This has already puzzled me in the beta.
I want the Windows Explorer's left tree to follow and expand to what I select in the right hand window.
I know I can watch the top bar to see "where I am" but IMO that's not very handy...
    Can it be done?
    Tried all the options.

  • Open Windows explorer, then hit the Alt key to show the menus.
Go to Tools and Folder Options.

Mark the option: Automatically expand to current folder

    Its done! =)

Hey, I´m so used to the old menus that I forget there is a new method that works too.
    Click the Organize button.
Go to Folder and Search options
Mark the same option: Automatically expand to current folder

Choose the one you like the most.

Now, something I would like is to explorer never hide the > symbol to expand a folder in the left pane. Can be done?
