  • As I know, you could configure GPO on Windows  Server 2008 for Windows 7. There might be a Group Policy setting configured blocking access to WUAgent. Maybe you could visit the following link and find some ideas.

Unable to install updates on Windows 7 client

BTW, it is recommended to post in WSUS forums for a better assistance.

  • How did you configure the client to use WSUS? Was this configuration done by GPO? In that case verify whether the policy applies to the machine.

If you configured it manually (registry), double (or triple-) check your settings.

  • Was a group policy enforced on your laptop?

you can open a command prompt and type wuauclt.exe /detectnow

and ask your admin to check that you computer appears in the WSUS console.

  • Hello.

    Thank you for the reply.

The configuration is done by GPO and is enforced to the laptop and PC.

The GPO is done with Windows Server 2008, is there any relation with it? Or must use Windows Server 2008 R2 for Windows 7?

    Thank you
