Conexant High Definition Smartaudio HD2 - no sound

    Question

  • I foolishly accepted a non critical uopdate to the Conexant High Definition Smartaudio HD2 and now I have no sound.

    I have tried:

    1. Rolled back driver to HD1 - no sound
    2. Updated driver to HD2 - no sound.

    Fkin MS updates are more trouble than they are worth - How do I resolve? Thanks

    Please uninstall the driver completely, restart the computer, download the driver from the device manufacture's website.

    System restore can be under consideration in case it is multiple issue involved.
