Activation of Windows 7 Professional

    Question

  • I had a hard drive malfunction and I reinstalled the 32 version of Windows 7 Professional. This is the second time I've done this, last time I had to use the phone activation. This time I can't even talk to a representative about getting this activated. I did use a tool that was mentioned in another thread to get this report.

To activate by Telephone, click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI 4
    and hit the Enter Key
Follow the instructions, and when the phone service asks which service you require, do NOT respond – this should force an operator to pic up, who can deal with your problem.

    .

This forum is touted in various places as a generic forum for activation problems and solutions – not just  Vista.
If that’s not the case, then surely it would be better to retire this forum, and use the three WGA forums instead.
