In the miscellaneous forum, a responder suggested I delete from the registry the following hive: 555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4 But he did not offer an explanation or discuss what was causing the error and I'm loath to mess with the registry until I understand the solution. He has not responded to a subsequent question asking for clarification. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi,

The  NTRU TSS v1.2.1.29 TCS service is for fingerprint login and also TPM encryption. You might get this error if in your bios TPM is not activated. If you don't use fingerprint you can disabled this service. Not a big deal

  • Thanks, Yannick. That stopped the error. I see that you can activate TPM encryption, but I don't think I need it, unless you can think of a reason I'm missing.

  • Hi, I am getting the same error and this is making startup time extremely slow.

I do have fingerprint reader in use and that is working fine so cannot work out the error. Any ideas?
