Windows Live Mail - can't change permanently style and fonts colors.

    Question

  • In my case I have to change those every time I'm starting to write a text in the mail. Otherwise the color is always greenish 12 points.

  • This is not new or peculiar to Windows 7.  I have noticed that the font will not stay as one selects in WL Mail.  Since I could find no way to make it hold from 1 use to the next; I brought it to the 'Help Desk's' attention several times... alas, to no avail.

Sorry, dunno what to tell you.

  • Try going to Menus > Options... > Compose [tab] and changing the Mail font.

  • Doesn't 'hold' when done there either.

  • Adding to Vistaline's correct answer, for wlmail:

Tools > Options > Compose > Mail [Font Settings]

    --- also, try unchecking ---

Tools > Options > Send > [ ] Reply to messages using the format in which they were sent

  • Re WLM font colors,

The menu ...Tools > Options > Compose > Mail [Font Settings]... does not exist on my WLM 2011 ! Though I can get to change only the font type or size through the WLM tab top far left.

I have only one Tools menu and that is for Send/Receive or Work Offline.

I would love to get rid of the rather washy grey email font. I think as usual all this stuff is designed by young folk with good eyesite. I wonder what they will do when they reach 70?
