  • Based on a note in the User Manual, you need to contact HP to see if your Bluetooth in your computer is compatible with the Galaxy S4:

Note: Due to different specifications and features of other
    Bluetooth-compatible devices, display and operations
may be different, and functions such as transfer or
exchange may not be possible with all Bluetooth
    compatible devices.

This would not be a Windows 7 problem, but a hardware and software compatibility between your computer and the Galaxy S4.

I assume you followed the paring instruction steps in the Galaxy S4 User Manual?

  • Hi,

As Rick said, this would be caused by hardware and software compatibility, you should check this following articles, try to update the device driver for a test:

Error: "Bluetooth peripheral device driver not found" when you try to connect a bluetooth device

Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

I have the answer to your problem go to this web site http://www.station-drivers.com/index.php/10-drivers/44-qualcomm-atheros and download the Bluetooth suite Version 8.0.1.312 WHQL (240Mo~) release date 12/01/14. when you have it unpack it then double click the install.exe then reboot when prompted and you can now connect your phone.

that's what i did and it all works fine now hope this helped.
