  • Both PowerISO and UltraISO have virtual drives. I use PowerISO at the moment but apparently it has a serious memory leak issue but I haven't come across it yet, if I do, I will try UltraISO next.

    I have seen many people recomment Slysofts Clone Drive Manager. This was the first one I tried but it worked but seemed to be glitching all over the place. But don't let my experiece put you off. It seems to work perfectly fine for many out there so give it a go.

    All the above should be perfectly fine for your needs if you don't need to bypass all those security thingies.

    There is no solution unless you are willing to use other apps. The D-Tools devs have clearly said they will not support W7 until it is final. None of the beta builds will be supported.

    Try uninstalling it from the program files directory directly.

    Simply navigate to C:\Program File\Daemon Tools and select uninst.exe

    1st uninstall DaemonTools.  If the message persists do this:

    Run > msconfig > Services OR Startup tabs.  Look for anything DaemonTools and uncheck it.

  • Daemon-Tools is an advanced application for multiprotection emulation. It is further development of Generic Safedisc emulator and incorporates all its features. This program allows running Backup Copies of SafeDisc (C-Dilla), Securom or Laserlock protected games. Also included is a Virtual DVDROM drive (Generic STEALTH DVDROM) enabling you to use your CD images as if they were already burned to CD! DAEMON Tools works under Windows9x/ME/NT/2000/XP with all types of CD/DVDROM drives (IDE/SCSI) and supports nearly any CD protection.

    What's new:
    - Windows 7 beta supporting (SPTD 1.58);
    - Protected images creation: Password field on Disc Imaging dialog;
    - Compressed images creation: Compress option on Disc Imaging dialog;
    - Image Catalog item was moved to the first level of Main Menu;
    - mdf-file type association option;
    - Languages updates.
    - Devices speeds detection;
    - Lite-ON DHXXXXX drives supporting;
    - Large RAID volumes issue;
    - Mounting/converting B6T DVD images;
    - Setup improving: Unicode supporting;
    - Some minor GUI bugs.
