  • For HP products you need to contact HP for assistance.  Microsoft does not provide support for third party hardware and your problem is most likely due to a lack of appropriate drivers.

    Go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3795406&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us to get the software package with both print drivers and scan drivers.  You will also find links to information from HP on identifying and solving your problem.
