  • I have two PC's, one of them lives at home withme and the other is at my parents. I want to be able to send and access documents and files on the laptop when I'm at my parents...

I am told you can access them via IP Address as a Network Folder? Is this true... or can someone help me?

  • Hello,

As each PC is in a different network and behind a NAT device then here to a access your PC, you can configure forwarding on your NAT device to forwarding incoming traffic from internet to your PC. and like that, you will be able to access the wanted folders if they are shared.

Another option is to use third party softwares like TeamViewer.

My favorite option is to use Microsoft Skydrive to save your documents and to access them from different locations.
