    Question

  • Can anybody help with the registry key by which I can disable Windows Update notification available in action center? For User account, I have come accross the key "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ActionCenter\Checks". Can I get the disable location for System account?

  • Can you try this.

Go to Control Panel/Action Center/Change Action Center settings/Turn messages on or off

Based on your requirement you can turn off the messages from which you don't need, this will also make changes in registry also.

Please try and reach us back if you face the issue still.

  • Hi,

The System Account is used by the operating system and by services that run under Windows. There are many sevices and processes within Winodws that need the capability to log on internally(for example during a Windows installation). The system account was designed for that purpose; it is an internal account, does not show in User Manager, cannot be added to any groups, and cannot have user rights assigned to it.

About Local System Account, please refer to:

About Windows Update, please check this article:

    Hope this helps!
