    Question

  • I am getting this Warning in the Event Viewer and cannot find any solutions to this so hopefully someone here can help.

The environment is Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 with SharePoint 2010.

The Param2 ID cannot be found in the COM+ directory, the GUID points to a comres.dll file and have no other clues to look for.

  • Hi Bill,

There is no enough information about this warning message so it's difficult to find a solution. However, sometimes warning in event log did not mean it is an issue. if you do not have encounter other error or issue during the normal usage, I think we can simply ignore this Eventlog error. Just keep monitor and see if there is any other related information.
