Windows Server 2008 R2 Printing Issues.

    Question

  • We are having a slew of printing problems with 2008 R2.  We have all HP Printers and I have tried using all of the universal print drivers.  The problems are random.  Sometimes the printer will print out garbage, sometime it looks like its printing but the job never gets to the printer and sometimes the computers just lose their connection to the printer.  This only seems to happen in Windows 7 64 bit.  Anyone have any thoughts on where to begin to troubleshoot this?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the post.

If possible, please install other brands of printers on Windows Server 2008 R2 to verify if this issue will occur.

At this time, please try to install HP UPD version 5.2 for test.

For more information about these printer drivers, visit the following HP Web site:
