File Server Resource Manager questions

    Question

  • With FSRM on Windows 2008 R2...

    - Is there a variable for quota used and quota limit in GB in the notification emails?

    - Is there a variable for only the folder name in the notification emails?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

On current version of Windows 2008 R2, there is only [quota limit MB] and [quota path] variable are available. I know sometimes using GB is much helpful on a large hard disk space. Is there any specific issue we can help?

Meanwhile here is an article for your reference:

The suggestion (add [quota limit GB] and [quota folder name]) will be record and report to related department.

Thank you. I'm just trying to make the email report as user friendly as possible for my users. The [quota path] variable gives the local path on the server and I want to customize it so it gives the path that the user sees over the network.

  • Hi,

Have you tried the [Quota remote Paths] or [Source file remote paths]? They will show as UNC format.

I have tried those and they don't show anything. All they show is the variable name itself ([Quota remote Paths] or [Source file remote paths]).

    Thanks
