On a Domain Controller I am seeing Event ID 202 from Source License Service. If I lookat Licensing under Administative tools It shows all the authenticated users as not being licensed. For everyone who has authenticated to the domain it lists them as unlicensed.
If I go to the control panel and open Licensing I can see that the server is set to Per Device or Per user licensing. I don't know why this i happening. Everyone here has valid Windows Licenses. Why would the server see them as unlicensed?
I checked my other DCs and they both tell me the license service is not started on them.
Hi, did you brougth user/device cal and activated them ?
On a SBs it would block user connection, not in VLK/retail OS, but you are not legal either.
nb, If you have another DC in 2008 in exemple, then better get 2008 cal, and same thing for 2012.

I have never seen this problem before so I'm assuming my licenses were all in there. I so have a 2008 server but it is not a DC. All the DCs are Server 2003. Maybe My licensing should be per server instead? What is the difference?
