How to set up DNS to access internet from Windows 2008 Server

    Question

  • Hi; I have set up windows 2008 server, original release, including the active directory services. Included was the automatic setting up DNS. Now, when I start up server 2008, when I try to access the internet, I am not able to. The message says, "Unable to reach www.microsoft.com, using DNS. The Domain Server may be down". Well, I already have DNS installed after I installed active directory services. In the system tray, I see the network connection, including that little blue globe icon, which seems to indicate that DNS is running, yet I can't still access the internet. Is there some configuration of DNS missing?
