  • Hello,

please start with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259374?wa=wsignin1.0 Assure the A records for the existing DC/DNS servers are listed in the forward lookup zone.

Please post also an unedited ipconfig /all from the old DC/DNS servers and the new machine.

  • Hello,

on the new machine use ONLY the existing internal domain DNS server that is also DC so it can contact exclusive with this one. Also assure firewall ports are open according to: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772723(WS.10).aspx

Are you able to ping from the new to an existing DC/DNS server with ip address, computer name and FQDN and also the other way around?
